CEZMI
Cezmi started developing his yoga practice in 2017, after he was introduced to the beautiful, simple and powerful discoveries of yoga. At that time, he was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. Initially, to temporarily release the pain, he took to drugs such as alcohol and tobacco.
It was his introduction to Yoga practice that finally enabled him to drop these habits and work on himself. After practicing yoga on a daily basis, he started to feel his overall physical and mental health improving. This made him realise that yoga isn’t just about asanas but entails a holistic improvement of the body and mind. He understood that in order to unlock the full potential of Yoga he has to combine asanas with breath, meditation as well as philosophy. So, he made a big decision to leave his job to go to India for gaining in-depth knowledge of Yoga.
The first thing he did in India was attend a 200-hour TTC which allowed him to completely dive into the 8 limbs of Yoga. He felt that one month was not enough for him to understand everything. So he continued his stay in the ashram to volunteer as a student coordinator, thereby helping others as well. After a few months of volunteering, he took the next step and attended the 300-hour TTC. This gave him the confidence to conduct his drop-in classes and finally become a teaching assistant at the TTC program. An year later he went back to Turkey to become an Ancient civilizations expert and a professional tour guide. He brings his passion for Yoga into his profession as a tour guide. He continues to share his yoga practice with the travelers he assists. He leaves no stone unturned when it comes to yoga and asks his fellow travelers to do yoga in the castles, gardens, beaches, hotel lobbies, museums and all kind of places they visit.
Cezmi philosophy of “be kind to yourself” has helped him tremendously on a personal note and as a guide. He believes the knowledge he has gained so far has to be constantly nurtured. The constant yearning for more knowledge is the road to knowing oneself more deeply on a physical, mental and spiritual level. He is now an international teacher at the International Academy of Yoga as well as the person in charge of our Turkey premises.
